What if your next game-changing connection is just a drink away?

Join us for Community Drinks to wind down around a glass, make new connections, and get inspired by the spotlights of the evening. Hosted at The Hague Humanity Hub, this is the place for you to get away from your busy schedule and enjoy after-hours with purposeful conversations.

The need for a space for conversation and community-led solutions with climate justice is clearer than ever. Join us to explore how communities most affected by climate challenges can be supported and empowered, and how cross-sector collaboration can turn ideas into concrete action. Connect with initiatives driving change, share experiences, and discover ways collective efforts can create lasting impact.

What can you expect?

Come to the Hub on Tuesday, November 11th, between 17:00 and 19:00, for a drink (or two) and meet professionals working at the intersection of climate, peace, and justice.

During the evening, you’ll hear from Hub community members who are advancing climate justice in diverse and impactful ways. From local movements to global policy work, these spotlights will highlight how climate action, peace, and social justice go hand in hand.

Who is it for?

If you are interested in connecting with people and their work towards a more peaceful, just and sustainable world, this event is for you. Whatever your role or sector, join Community Drinks to relax, exchange perspectives, and connect with this vibrant community committed to making the world more peaceful, just and sustainable, one conversation at a time.

Who are the spotlight speakers?

International Alert – Svenja Wolters

International Alert works at the intersection of climate change, natural resource management and peacebuilding, recognising that climate stress often exacerbates conflict, especially over water, land, and livelihoods.

Svenja will share how International Alert integrates peacebuilding into climate action; from advocacy to on-the-ground programming. Learn how their projects in Nigeria and Kenya inform their efforts to operationalize conflict sensitivity and peace integration within the climate action agenda, and how they’re influencing climate finance and adaptation policy through networks like Peace@COP and the European Climate Change Platform (ECCP).

PAX for Peace – Christina Parandii

PAX for Peace is the largest peace organisation based in the Netherlands. It works globally in conflict zones alongside local partners, as well as in the Netherlands, aiming to protect civilians, end armed conflict, and build inclusive, just and peaceful societies.
Christina will speak about the crucial interlinkages between climate, environment, peace, and security. She’ll highlight why conflict-sensitive climate and environmental policies are essential for achieving just and lasting outcomes in fragile contexts
